Dates and times for 2026 classes will be in the January U3A Bulletin.<\/span><\/p>\n

Enrolment to classes will close by the end of the second week of term to avoid disrupting classes.<\/p>\n

Class skill levels, we will be nomination some classes as 101,201 or 301
\n101 is beginners level, no special skills required
\n201 is intermediate level, need to have done the 101 class or have permission of the tutor
\n301 is advanced level, need to have done the 201 class or have permission of the tutor<\/p>\n

U3A will be adding several clubs in 2026<\/p>\n

* Chess Club – Learn and play chess and other strategic games every Thu<\/p>\n

* Fitness Club – 5km -Walk 4 health any or all mornings
\n– 3km – 5 Bridges walk from depot on Tue, Wed & Thu
\n– Bones & Balance – not running in term 1<\/p>\n

*Bushwalking Club – become an associate member of BushWalking NSW
\n– aiming for 3 bushwalks each term
\n– field mycology
\n– Tree ID<\/p>\n

*Tech Club\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0– Tech talks each week
\n– U3A Computer Lab, use raspberrypi computers
\n– Learn Python programming
\n– Learn FreeCad & 3D printing
\n– Program $12 Pico microcomputers to control real world gadgets
\n– Build a free website<\/p>\n

Walk 4 Health – <\/strong><\/span>Monday to Friday<\/strong><\/span> – Exercise in a social atmosphere and enjoy Goulburn’s open spaces and many parks.<\/p>\n

MONDAY<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n<\/span>DIY Italian<\/strong><\/span> – Members take part in reading aloud and translating, and also spend time conversing in Italian. New members are welcome, but some knowledge of the language is essential.
\n<\/span>Croquet 101 @ The Depot<\/strong><\/span> – Play Croquet on the front lawn of the Depot. Bring your own mallet. Come along and have fun while you’re gently exercising at the same time!

\n<\/span>Tai Chi 201 @ The Depot<\/strong><\/span> – Exercise is vital for protecting the joints and can help keep the muscles healthy and strong.
\n<\/span>TUESDAY<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span>
\n<\/span>History – Ireland & Scotland<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>
\nWellness 101 – <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span>Starts in Term 2<\/span><\/span><\/strong> – <\/span><\/span><\/strong>Take <\/span><\/span>a journey of looking at Wellness and how to keep it.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Italian 101<\/strong> – Are you going overseas or just want to learn something new…..then come along and learn how to converse in Italian. This course is for complete beginners, people who have no knowledge or very little knowledge of the language.<\/p>\n

WEDNESDAY<\/strong><\/span>
\nFamily History Forum<\/span><\/strong> – Share knowledge and experiences in the fascinating search for ancestors, how they lived and how their lives shaped our own.
\nHistory – Goulburn History<\/strong><\/span> – Term 1 -we will cover different aspects of Goulburn’s history from the early 1800s.
\n<\/span><\/span>Mahjong<\/strong><\/span> 101- Come along and join others for a friendly game of Mahjong. New to the game, don’t worry tuition is available.
\nCuriosophy<\/strong><\/span> – not in Term 1
\nFun with Maths<\/strong><\/span> 101- Maths is not always about rules and theories and calculations.
\nBook Club – Third Age Book Club<\/strong><\/span> – Book clubs are a fun and easy way to discover new books, and connect with other readers.
\nAsian Book club – Read an english translation of an asian book each term
\nBones ‘n’ Balance<\/strong><\/span> – An easy exercise program that focuses on strength, balance and co-ordination. Not term 1
\n<\/span><\/span>THURSDAY
\nHistory – Aboriginal History – How does the Aboriginal History of Goulburn and district share information that you can take and connect to the future?<\/span><\/span>
\nTech – Makers <\/span><\/strong>– This is a self help group doing individual projects with some electronics, soldering, computer programming and gadgets.
\nTech – BookClub<\/strong><\/span> – Read and discuss a non-fiction book about technology each term.
\nTech – FreeCad<\/strong><\/span> – Make 3D models on your computer that could be 3D printed.
\nTech – Python<\/strong> <\/span>– Learn a simple, easy computer language & write simple programs.
\nTech – Geology<\/strong><\/span> – Investigate rocks and formations near Goulburn.
\n<\/span><\/span>Table Tennis<\/strong><\/span> – Come along and play table tennis at the Depot and have fun while exercising at the same time!<\/span>
\nJapanese<\/span><\/strong> 201 – This course is a continuation of Japanese 101. for\u00a0 people who have\u00a0 little knowledge of the language. You’ll also learn about Japan , its culture and its people.<\/span>

\n<\/span><\/span>FRIDAY<\/strong><\/span>
\nPhotography<\/strong><\/span> 101- This is a class for lovers of photography. Some field work taking photographs trying out new skills.
